So the flight back to welly was delayed by almost an hour, the planets did not align (I ended up sitting three rows in front of lovely cricketing man) and then I get back to #54 to find the power has been cut off. WTF?!
I used to have two accounts with genesis – one for #54 and the other for the random beige apartment I rented while the house was being renovated. It seems the direct credit I set up was for the wrong account and they couldn’t make the link between a closed account with a load of credit on it and an open account with no payments on it. I have spoken to them about this THREE times which makes it so frustrating. Apparently power will be restored today but George and I slept in a very dark, silent house last night, with no security system, no home phone and no way of charging dead mobile phone. Completely pants sleep.
And of course there was no hot water this morning. Luckily corporate lackey HQ is well equipped for such an emergency. I probably have verruca’s now. Tired and grumpy and composing a very stern letter to the muppet’s at genesis. Harrumph!
