A colleague popped by my desk earlier for a random chat. She was wearing the most spectacular woolly jersey; green with a purple design on the sleeve and waist bands. It looked so warm and cozy, I could have crawled right on in there with her. It has got me thinking that I could knit myself up a little something as a post mid-winter project. Plus The Divine Ms G is keen to resurrect ‘Stitch and Bitch’ afternoons and she is so talented I reckon she could teach me how to do the hard stitches.
Oh and I had no idea how sexy knitty skills could be, but a little searchipooh led me here and proved me very very wrong.
Update: More knitted awesomeness, and a gentle entry into the woolly world. My Gran would be so proud :)

Oh dear. I hate to admit it but when it comes to knitting I’m an amateur. I’m a left-handed knitter and am no friend of the right-handed knitting novice. I WAS a knitterbug though. In my day…The sewing machine is more my forte.I’m sure Annie will teach you! Stitch ‘n’ Bitch – on it.
Awesome! I do remember learning the basics at school and I have sucessfully cross stitched my way through the embroidery cushion of grief so am ever hopeful.I do think the gilet will be my winning entry :)
