George’s new family are such lovely people, I know he will be loved and cared for in a manner befitting such a lion of a cat. He is a wonderful companion, and the decision to adopt George has been the most difficult part of our decision to leave.
It really was love at first sight when I spotted him puffing out of a cardboard box on a high shelf at the SPCA. A lovely big ginger tom, he did not look at all amused to be there. He had been picked up by one of the rangers and they believed his previous owners had abandoned him. He was a bit shy at first, but soon became the main source of affection and smooches for me. My heart is a little heavy this evening, but what a gift to share in a part of George’s adventure.
I will miss waking up to his furry face. Kia kaha Georgie.
