Michelle Obama is on the cover of Vogue this month. The focus of the piece is obviously fashion, but she manages to discuss more than just her role as dress-up doll. It must be quite odd to adjust from being relatively anonymous, with a senior role in her own right, to the phenomenon of the First Ladyship, so steeped in history and tradition. And expectation.

I think she looks as if she will fit into the role just perfect. There is something about her that seems just right.
