the last of the international playboys

So Rex arrived and was not remotely dead. And yay, a not dead cat is way awesomer than the alternative. Opening his cage was like a task on bloody Krypton Factor, and he kept tutting and sighing. Anyway, eventually he jumped out, stretched his whole self, yawned, and strode a little suspiciously around the house. I showed him his new litter tray, and his ‘welcome to London’ present (a handmade ceramic bowl with dinosaurs and his very own NAME on it). To which he was a bit ‘meh’. And I was all like, FINE.

He tested all the furniture and sniffed every. single. thing. in the house. He drank out of the upstairs loo. Licked himself for a bit. And then, at some point, we got the furry seal of approval. The purring started, and now he’s asleep on the footstool behind me, waiting for Science Guy to get home.

Tonight we are going to have some bubbly to celebrate the end of Project Get To London and not having a dead cat.

I love that everything that really matters to me fits on our bed.

Me too. That’s really how it should be, after all. Ain’t life grand?

Rex looks like he’s settled in rather well. I’m sure he’s King of the house by now xx

@miss*H yes he is a british blue and @Soda he is very floofy – quite a cuddler too so he’ll lie there while anyone pats him.

Thanks for the lovely comments – he is a bit of a superstar really. I love that everything that really matters to me fits on our bed :)
