hot tea and tissues
glamour pyjama day-wear
its probably plague
an emphysemic pensioner
in my too-hot bed
with a racking cough of death
wrapped up like a douche
under sheet, duvet, quilt, cat
even my hair hurts
liberal application
of vicks vapour rub, to ones
chest, is magic (apparently).
things are actually quite bad
if yellow-green mucus
signals a health improvement…

The racking cough of death…sounds almost Shakespearean! Ha ha. This was me two weeks ago, and only amoxocyllin cured me! Hope you feel better soon xx
Phlegm was never so lovely.
I’m pretty amazed that you wrote poetry from your death bed. That’s amazing. It even made sense. You may just be awesome.

PS~ get well soon! Or write more poetry. NO. Definitely get well. =]
Aw, sounds like the night I lost my virginity.
Kudos for making poetry of puffy eyes and phlegm! Hope you feel much better very soon. ;)
the only thing i can do while ill is bitch and moan. glad you are more productive. i loved it.
I’m so happy that even though you’re dying of plague, you still have the energy for WTF Monday.
Yes, I have to agree with Kimberly: you are that sick and still writing wtf monday? I’m thinking you must definitely be on the mend. Thinking wellness your way.
I can’t write haiku when I’m healthy. Maybe that’s the problem. I’m going to wait until I’m feverish and vomitey, and give it another try!
Sorry you’ve been feeling bad.
That is brilliant; love it – such a great way to convey feeling crap!
thank you for your kind wishes!
i have a heart thing that means I can’t take a load of drugs – particularly anything with speedy drugs or steroids. there is a great homoeopathic pharmacy on the high road and the hippie doc is very good – he’s a kind of young ravi shanka (sells incense and depak chopra with mooncups and essential oil).
he has prescribed me neurophen, a liquorice based cough medicine and ginger tea.
i do feel a bit better today, but this has knocked me for six.
