I am so excited about sharing my new online home with you, I may actually wet myself.
From my sick bed a few months ago I started to imagine what might be beyond a blogspot blog: out there in a space that was utterly mine. Limitless. Without rules. A space where I could shake things up. Evolve. Entertain. Expand.
Investing in this gorgeous creation: buying my own domain, conceptualising the design, claiming hosting space on the machine that goes ping – these are acts of intention. I want to get braver and deeper and realer. To let go of the rules about what a weblog should be. To be unashamed and unapologetic and funny and fucked up. Hungry. Brave enough to tell the really scary truths. I want to share and connect; to push at my own boundaries a little more. To stand on the hilltop with my arms wide open, my voice true. And I want a safe place to crawl into on the days that I can’t. I just never imagined it would be this pretty!
This fancy new site would not have been possible without the creative chutzpah and technical witchery of two women: Jo Klima she of the jedi ninja powers of mind-reading, who managed to herd the millions of 0′s and 1′s into this luscious layout. And how many kinds of awesome is the new banner? It’s all thanks to the whimsical illustrative talents of Lisa Orgler.
