one day of blergh and two days of awesome

Monday: woke up in Marrakech at 4:30am to the call for prayer. For some reason Sunday and Monday were not the usual call, but a song; it went on for about 7 minutes. At moments like these I am very grateful that in our Anglican dominated suburb, the congregation appreciates the value of an ‘inside voice’. Three hours later I joined Sus, Leonie & Noshy for breakfast on the roof terrace. Just as we were getting into our morning routine it was time to leave – Morrocco was incredible; vibrant, crazy, a little overwhelming at times, but beautiful and peaceful as well. Brahim, our host at the Riad walked us through the Souks to the van that would take us to the airport. And one last Moroccan man exclaimed his appreciation at my ‘nice lady fruits’. Sigh. The flight was long. There are few things more unpleasant than being trapped on a jam-packed plane with ‘tangine issues’.

Tuesday: Badger day. I managed to make it to somewhere near Birmingham, without a SatNav. As I walked into the Cattery, Badger was diving bombing two of her brothers from the arm of a chair. She spent the return journey squawking her displeasure at being removed from everything she knows (who can blame her?) and once home, refused to exit the cat cage. I am happy to report that she is much more settled today, and her purr is way louder than is expected from her little kitten body. We are planning the introduction to Rex next week. It feels like our little family is complete.

Wednesday: breakfast with Sus, pats with Badger, afternoon coffee with Leonie – what a treat! Then about an hour ago I deactivated the holding page and my new website: www.saslockey.com is live. I am so excited I might puke! Please come and visit – I feel like you have been waving pom poms for me over last few months. Thanks for all your lovely tweets and messages of support. Truly you guys are the best blog readers ever in the history of the universe. I got nothing but love for you.

Getting that second cat is a very special moment. Enjoy.

We actually introduced Aurora and Park on the day Park arrived. I know you’re not supposed to but…. :0

And your site is beautiful. I’m not sure I understand exactly what you do (I’m a simple child), but it is beautiful.

We must meet up for massive amounts of vegetables soon x

Your new site looks fabulous – congratulations! :)

And Badger is such a cute little kitten! Good luck with introducing him to Rex, I hope it goes well. I really want to get another kitten but the thought of introducing him/her to Charley is *really* offputting!

And a huge congrats on your new website. It’s fab!

The Project Manager me says: Wish you were in NZ so I could make my boss hire you, and this bit:
“They called it ‘Transforming Social Capital’; we called it building a community.” = awesomeness

The Personal Style Consultant me says: You look fabulous, you simply sparkle, and those colours you are wearing are PERFECT for you, oh how the teal brings out your lovely eyes!

    Beautiful!

Congrats on the launch of the new endeavor and on the new kitkins. May the former have maximum success and the latter a minimum of scratching and hissing.

Badger! She is a tortie like my little cat, but she sounds much more pleasant and lovable!

Also, “nice lady fruits”? I actually think that sounds more charming than the kind of catcalls I get here.
