I was up by 7am and appropriately attired. A couple of trips to the garden centre, another to B&Q and several stops for hot coffee later: ‘tadaaa!’
Here are some before and afters from roughly the same place in the garden, except the window boxes at the bottom (click for close ups and behold their colourful and precisely symmetrical glory #ocd). Apparently I should do nothing else until Spring (is this true oh green fingered bloggy readers?).
The entire exercise left me incapable of much else save for a bubble bath and pajamas by 5pm. But it was incredibly satisfying to have dirt under my nails.

Indeed, no more till spring. It will all die back and then rise again in that amazing cyclical way.
Himself did all this in our garden. He is my gardening boy in a Lady Chatterley kind of way ;)
Nice job missus. What’s that climbing all round the back window? I can’t make out what it is. I think it’s a clematis growing above it?
Dirt under fingernails is incredibly satisfying as is getting it all out in the bath.
Bloody gorgeous! (and the garden is looking quite nice too). xxx
Love your garden – awesome work! Reminds me of one of the gardening blogs I love to read: http://www.mytinyplot.co.uk/planning/my-garden-through-the-seasons
My heart is singing with pride.
The transformation is wonderful … you’ve done excellent work!
