Look what arrived this morning! Reworked, Upcycled and Vandalized English vintage Lord Nelson plate from Trixie Delicious.
I saw the new Woody Allen movie on Friday afternoon. In a theatre with three other people. While everyone else was at work. Not his best but an enjoyable romp of failing relationships filmed in London last summer. Remember summer? When the big yellow thing shows up for days on end and a coat, scarf, gloves and wellies are not required? Sigh.
And then by the power of greyskull, we had the loveliest weekend weather! Unfortunately a spontaneous suggestion of a Friday evening drink, turned into several red wines in a couple of local bars, and dinner past 9:30 as every bistro and brasserie within a mile was chock full of happy tipsy souls. Saturday morning sunshine hurt my brain.
After a pile of bacon and coffee with Ms Wise, we took the car for a spin with the top down. Turns out fresh air is as good for a hangover as a nana nap. Who knew? We ended up zooming along country lanes, and thank god for the Good Pub Guide phone app which suggested this place as perfect for a little spot of lunch. A glass of Cloudy Bay and the best potted crab ever in the history of the world: also Very Awesome Hangover Cure.
The contrails in the perfect blue sky were like comets, and in other matters astronomical, the perigee moon of Saturday night was spectacular.
We spent yesterday hanging out with Pen & Cam taking some fun photos around W4 and having lunch. And bloody hell the wedding is only three months away (nb: HOW DID THAT HAPPEN?). Our wedding rings are now safely in a box on a shelf, out of the reach of Badger who appears to be part-magpie. Neither of us have outfits completely sorted yet. Or flowers. Or a cake. But 50 of our loved ones will be there. And we have the rings. So thats something.

I love that plate. I saw cushions with similar sentiments in the window of Agent Provocateur in Seven Dials…I might get one :D xx

Oh my! How truly delicious! I do believe I drooled a little when Cloudy Bay wine was mentioned.
